Friday The 13thA Poem by Eric Cox
As I woke up Friday morning
a sense of doom began forming why this darkness upon my mind why couldn't I leave it behind I went for a drive in my car with another bleak forming scar my luck turned black as night I swerved to miss a black cat then I crashed into a streetlight my head all bloody, where was I at I saw the black cat smile slyly the sense of doom still filled me I wandered the streets in a daze I felt like I was in a maze the black cat kept following behind a sense of hopelessness filled my mind no one helped me out at all couldn't they hear my wounded call I saw a vulture in the sky I sensed that I would die finally I collapsed on the ground and heard a wicked laughing sound a sorcerer was standing over me he and his black cat were smiling slyly he said, "Why do you think your death comes today because it's Friday the 13th and it's time to decay." © 2010 Eric CoxReviews
