Blood And Vampires

Blood And Vampires

A Poem by Eric Cox

An ocean of blood
an undead flood
fangs siphon red
each victim is bled
each heartbeat like a drum
kisses of black will come
vampires in the night
skin marble white
bright red eyes
that hypnotize
each human's will dies
the vampire will rise
these shadows will bloom
their sun is the moon
souls of dead light
haunt the dark night
drinking crimson red
their need must be fed
and those that are drained do not die, never
they spread undeath in a crimson red forever.

Quite a dramatic vampire poem, all about blood which is what vampires are all about. Love the rhyme and tightness in this poem, not using too many words but just enough to give this poem your own unique style. Outstanding job!!
