Ebony Seagulls

A poem of sorrow in flight.

Ebony seagulls soar

below Heaven's distant shore

They cannot hear the bells above

they are not coursing with love

They are alone in the barren night

they cannot feel the soothing of light

Sorrow floods their hearts

a sorrow which never parts

Tears I cry for them

for creatures so dim

for creatures bearing blue hearts

anguish in their souls to never part

Below Heaven's distant shore
