Forest Home

Forest Home

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

The dream of a forest home fulfilled...

"
A cozy log cabin shrouded by wild forest trees
they sway gently with the caress of a cool soft breeze
down in the valley a shimmering river winds through
I gaze down at the beautiful nature swept view
I have escaped my city home at long last
the roaring cars and cruel neighbors lost to the past
now a soothing majestic forest I can roam
the serene beauty of nature at last again known
the woods and meadows are so peaceful, I am so carefree
dawned is the dream I thought to be dead to a reality
the birds sing and through the lush wild echoes the song of Mourning Doves
such a beauty entwined mournful cry they sing which I so love
the unique warmth of a dog and a cat blooms a comfort inside
the caress of love from my woman to blossom as the seasons glide
hand in hand we walk through the lush green meadows, old oaks and tall fir trees
and gaze at the shimmering stars in the caress of an evening breeze
through the wild enchantment of nature I at long last again roam
my soul sings within the magic of my beautiful forest home

What a wonderful sounding place to come home to...love and the beauty of nature,
both to be highly treasured. The words you use and the descriptions lead the reader
to understand how deeply you love the woods and forest. I think it would be a very
peaceful and relaxing place to live, mostly if not totally silent of manmade sounds and
full of nature sounds, depending if you have neighbors close enough to clank away!

A home in the wilds, what could be better? Your words paint such a wonderful home who wouldn't long to return? I enjoyed this a lot...

You describe a very wonderful and peaceful place full of natural beauty. I'd long for home too if were out and about in the city.
