Mad Max, Steel Breeze

Mad Max, Steel Breeze

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

About Mad Max' car (from the movie The Road Warrior.).

"
Mad Max bleeds on a long wild ride
supercharged fury overdrive
screaming up to 145
his car breathes cool, red hot alive

Enforcer of justice to wan
becomes a shell of a man
on the highway of lost dreams
fuel at the heart of barren streams

Within a steel breeze bound to lost light
steel wheels blur, supercharged fury ignites
down ever stretching blacktop the white lines scream on by her
his car is breathing fuel injected fire

This car of his, he loves it so
loves the way she rocks and rolls
when he cranks the volume and fury streams
it spins those wheels with a wild pitched scream

Mad Max bleeds on a long wild ride
supercharged fury overdrive
screaming up to 145
his car breathes cool, red hot alive

A cool wild ride of a poem. Mad Max really was mad but in a good way. Who could blame him in the end. Good series of movies. You wrote this brilliantly, really bring out the soul of the movie series. Anyone who didn't know the movies would want to see them after reading your cool poem!

You're welcome Eric!
A powerful journey coming to life in full motion. Loved the Mad Max movies... funny they dubbed Mel Gibson's voice in the first one! What a fierce wildness that comes from the road.
