Aunt Lorita

A tribute to my aunt who passed away a year ago from cancer treatment.

Aunt Lorita shined to the melody of love
a kind heart touched by the breeze of a dove
family was her treasure, a treasure to shine
there was an aura to Lorita divine

I remember Christmas at her cozy place
a smile seemed to almost always grace
there was always a light in her eyes
why do tragedies plague with goodbyes

Lorita sickened and passed from this land
her soul shines again beautiful and grand
touched by the heart of Jesus above
we miss her kind soul now shrouded in love

Oh, how sad. The loss of a loved one is overwhelming painful and sad. Some don't ever recover the loss. Your Aunt Lorita sounds like a most wonderful person. How lucky to have known her and have her love as a nephew. This is wonderful. I can tell by the words you wrote her that you really loved her deeply.
