Thanks To God

A thank you poem to God.

Thanks for the warm, sweeping beauty of sunshine
and the stars and moon shimmering so divine
and the grass and trees and flowers aglow
the enchanting beauty of nature aflow
thanks for the critters among the land, sky and sea
thanks for our existence and the beauty life sets free
thanks for the color of the sky, such a beautiful blue
and the color of the plants, green is such an enchanting hue
thank You for the taste of food and the pleasures of the flesh
thank You for our hearts which can glow and ease the dark which can mesh
thanks for our intelligence and our ability to create
thanks for forging us in the image of You it's an honor great
thank You for the rain, the snow, and the beautiful changing seasons
thank You for the painting of colors to bloom through endless regions
thank You for the magic beauty of Your Son blossoming soothing light
we shall feel the breeze of eternal beauty, swept from the sorrows of night

Outstanding poem. Giving thanks for what we do have seems to be a dying activity in the world today. Most people just seem to want want want, not caring if what they want is being taken from others against their will. God gives us what we need if we have a truly grateful heart.

Eric, this is a wonderful wonderful prayer! Giving thanks to God is so important for all we have comes from him. We should be thankful for what ever we have, no matter how small or big in our eyes.
