Red Rosebeam

Red Rosebeam

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

One rose of red in a black rosebed.

"
There glows one rose of red
in a black rosebed
she is a scarlet red queen
in the heart of a black rose sea
a mysterious beautiful scene
countless view the majesty
they walk the path near
the roses so dark and dear
the queen smiles supreme
a red rosebeam

Very impressive poem. I get the vision of a beautiful queen enjoying her roses while being followed by her group of helpers and admirers all watching what she is doing and recording it on sheets of paper and ink pot quills. Lovely and very unique poem!

I like this. Enchanting. I see a lovely Queen with her court and I see a lovely rose garden. Cool how this can go both ways. Very skillfully done.

I like the scene that comes to mind as I read this. A red Queen with her court following behind her, worshiping her. Creative and impressive.

Fine write, that leads me to think about the concepts of similarity and uniqueness, clothed in a poem with good observation and quality.
