Eternal creatures of death descending upon Halloween.
Within the cloak of the night
in the dead, shadowed sunlight
Riders of Death haunt the sky
damned to eternally die
On this night, All Hallow's Eve
visions of the ghost riders weave
midnight black winged horses beneath
glowing white bones and blood sharp spiked teeth
eye sockets glowing unholy black light
scanning the ground, death will soon bite
long, blood sharp swords in their bone hands
screams of death haunt countless lands
such black, chilling screams of death
ghostly creatures of dead breath
They choose victims and descend
on this night blows their death wind
blood sprays from their silver swords
cries of death are their rewards
all is not well on this night
scenes of blood and slaughter ignite
Though when the clock strikes midnight
their blood reign fades from sight
they resume haunting night skies
each dead soul forever dies
Wow, another outstanding horror poem. Very powerful and vivid images in this poem. Chillings and horror reign. Such a tale in your poem. I can visual this as a movie or a TV episode of some dark series. Outstanding work here Eric. :)
Your words paint a very dreadful scene of terror and horror! This is very descriptive and full of action and motion. Great work and great job on this horror write!
