Bad Elephants!

Bad Elephants!

A Poem by Eric Cox
"

Humor.

"
The elephants are coming
better start running
hide your peanuts
stay in your huts
ready your spears
swallow your fears
these elephants are mad
and very very bad
hear the rumble
victims will crumble
ready your spears, or hide in your huts
elephants draw near, so hide your peanuts!

A very fun and delightful poem with a hint of darkness. The vision of elephants charging fills me with terror! Nicely written and so very awesome!

It applies to other causes of fear too.
I see elephant as a symbol.
We used to run to get out of the claws of the invading army in the green villages of Bangladesh during our liberation war.
Wonderful write.

You are always welcome,dear friend.
Cool poem! I really like this one a lot. There's an urgency to this, every one hurry before its too late and also a sense of mirth too. I like the way you spun it all together to create this great piece of writing!

I love this! A very playful but rather frightening poem. Elephants on the charge would terrify me! Amazing humorous poem!

A very fun poem, indeed. There's a fearful urgency here for everyone to get out of the way of the bad elephants charging! I really enjoyed this.

Loved the manic feel and flow as we flee! Reminded me muchly of Jumanji as the hoards of elephants and more stomped through the town... Fun and free, my friend!
