Possessed Charger

Possessed Charger

A Poem by Eric Cox

She's a shiny black 1969 Dodge Charger
her heart is a supercharged Hemi motor
yes, this car is possessed
she is darkly blessed
she is immortal
her life far from dull
hear her metal-catlike roar
many many roads to explore
wide tires squeal
somehow she can feel
royal laughter
echoes within her
a haunting essence
all can sense
her heart's on fire
with wild power
down endless rivers of highways
she loves to blaze
what a car to see
sleek and shiny
a 1969 Dodge Charger
she will shine forever

Those fast and beautiful cars. I had a 1972 Mustang. She was old when I got her. Shen never broke down and wasn't pretty no more. Those old engines were made to last forever. 1969 Dodge Charger was a fine car. I enjoyed your story and the description. Thank you for sharing the excellent poetry.

Our love affair with the car. The symbol of freedom and adventure. Every girl wanted the guy with the car. Every guy wanted the car to get the girl. Describe as female it shows how important the car is to guys. Actually a car is important to us all. Nicely done Eric. A very enjoyable poem. One cool car here too!
