Lying Love

Lying Love

A Poem by Eric Lee

Our hearts are moved by love itself,

Eyes blinded by curiosity,

Love takes our minds,

On winding journeys,

Only to end in emptiness.

A sort of bondage.

Sadness and regret.

Love masquerades itself,

Innocent, polite, infinite, forever.

But often, so hard to admit.

Love lies.

This kind of love,

It’s not true love.

Yet sadly so populous.

Take pride in your heart,

Your emotions,

You.

Fend against this lying love,

Wait until true love, finds you.
