I Await the DayA Poem by Eric LeeI await the day when my dreams will come true, Nevermore will I sit and long for you. Somewhere in time, I’ll call you my own, One being, One heart, While together and alone.
I await the day when I hear the phone ring, Only to pick up and hear you sing. A song from your heart, To fill the hole in mine, One voice, creating harmonies, Soothes every anxious sore of mine. And while with others, you'll be the only one, None as special, here under the sun.
Under the sun? For you it seems wrong, You’d must have been from heaven, a blessing all along. I await the day, to meet my dream’s love, When God sends me my angel from up above.
But for now I’ll have to wait, And just watch for you, it seems. I pray someday to meet you, Outside the fiction of my dreams. © 2008 Eric Lee |
