Sad

Sad

A Poem by Ellie_the_Traveler

Warning: This is about depression and mentions self harm. Sorry.

"

What right have I to be so sad?

I feel so guilty disliking

What some may never have

I’ve had it pretty good

Why do I wish for an out

Maybe I just should

Cut, scratch, bleed, and bruise

Thinking she is who I am

They’ve all so much to lose

Distract, hide, fake, pretend

Smoke and mirrors, I am a lie

from beginning to the end

What worth could you ever have?

destroy yourself, despise yourself

These are the thoughts from my other half

Not the half that loves from outside

The half that whispers in my head

Think of suicide

Once again this is brilliant! Such strong meaning and words used to capture the situation which some people may go through and possibly relate too. I kind of like the sad and meaningful poems they give a some sort of understanding of what others may be going through and make others who aren't hopefully understand what it might be like, encouraging people to help each other through these situations. Very meaningful and eye opening. Thanks for sharing!
