a raindrop

a raindrop

A Poem by e.renoldi
"

moving through life with depression, how can we do it?

"

a raindrop

free floating

light headed,

to catch itself

air resistance is light

the fall, slow and painful.

water cascading the clouds

in search of a familiar face.

clouds are deceitful.

playing a soft safe place to land,

striking the lightning on the drop that continues its journey through

the only way forward is down.

“it’s a meaningful cycle.”

the frigid harshness of winter promises a unique snowflake.

halfway through the sky,

what happens when the raindrop breaks in two?
