Tragedy Pt. 2A Poem by e.renoldithe purpose in painWe have evacuated the storm but we cannot evacuate pain. or sorrow or grief or death.
We stumble through these days, trying to catch our breath scopes mounted but not a reason to be seen
Abba, what can this mean? 59 lives- broken, shattered at the end of the day is it your glory that mattered?
Mothers, sisters, daughters, friends brothers, fathers, sons to an end He scapegoated himself to escape the pain pity the same grace is never given to the slain
How do you stand by and watch? This tragedy runs on an endless clock. How can we stand and preach when so many hearts and souls have been breached?
God, I know you are good your faithfulness is great, but the world is ridden with senselessness and hate
My heart cries for all who are loss, maybe I’m next, it’s all a toss- up from above God don’t leave us alone I know your will is to bring everyone home.
Let us see your mercy shine through I want to believe from this dark, you’ll bring good too. You bind the broken hearted and gather up the lost, in a world of sin we all pay the cost. I plead for your comfort and love, you are within each of us though seated above.
These lives that were taken can never come back, the enemy on the prowl looking for a snack. But! God you’re greater than tragedy open our eyes so we can see. Let Heaven rain down in the midst of pain, Lord forever reign! © 2017 e.renoldi |
