HIM

HIM

A Poem by erased
"

These lines tormented me until i tamed them down... so i did. (just a thought)

"

HIM

When sunbeams gild the blushing rose petals
And violets grow wild on a sleeping maiden's grave
When mists roll out anointing the sprouts
And the brook flows serenely like a prophecy unfolding....

I feel him passing by in the wind's fragrant breath
His knuckles touch mine, his sweet roguish smile
Freezes my pulse for a long disturbing moment
And then... he takes my all away while handing me a pen.

Alas!
He is no more than a longing, an artist's forlorn dream
Restlessness of a wanderer, a ballad's scattered theme.

I feel like I want to really figure out who "he" is...Like someone from the past who brings inspiration to you when you are at a loss. I love it when I find poetry that I have to figure out. Thank you!

Ooh, I really like this one. It's very flowy, kind of Shakespeare-y...reminds me of Elizabethan or Medieval writings. Keep up the good work!

This poem is beautiful. You use amazing imagery, describing many of the nature's beauties. You use really well thought out liturature and you should definately write more often.

Keep writing (Y)

Fabulous work! One editing point... you wrote, "he takes my all away while handing me a pen" I read that as me not my. whether or not I'm write is of course to your discretion as creator. Cheers.
