Masquerade

Masquerade

A Poem by Eric Pudalov
"

Two people trying to communicate across different worlds...

"
Our words may seem different,
These foreign syllabic sounds,
Originating from distant
Regions, divided by seas...

And yet we speak the language
Of poets, grown deep within the
Fertile soil, where ancient gods
Chant magic dirges, heard in
Soul-spun dreams, a world invisible
To some, but found where
Dimensional doors disappear.

I wish to join your masquerade,
To play these lyrical elegies,
Vibrations in the chords of you.
No words are needed, in voiceless song,
An instrumental wind, elementally
Sweeping through our halls.

You drink your geranium wine,
Of which I have not tasted,
Its scent alluding me,
As I watch through the mirror...

The door to Elysion seems as yet
To have no key,
So I must forge it
From volcanic gold, a secret
That I shall never
Reveal.

Oh wow! This is mystical, Eric...
"The door to Elysion" is a one filled with wanderlust and enchantment...

I find the barrier of language to be quite enthralling, it adds to the mystery indeed...
You depict the Masquerade eloquently, such as the muse of this piece... xxxx

Magnetic!!!

Just gorgeous Eric, I can definitely see Eli's influence here, she does have that intoxicating, perfum'd effect with her lovely poetry.

It is easy to see the perilous longing on the speaker's part to make a bridge between worlds, however the mutual secrecy shows the lack of trust. The tension and misinterpretations between the groups was clearly in the way of connection. Superb wordplay and imagery.

Wow!!! this is top notch my friend, I do so love the play with words you bring here, the mystery again, and most of all, this could be a castle of inspiration! There may be many Scorpions, in the way, but there shall come a day, the dreamgate is open and no key's are needed... :) a fantastic connection you express here... so surreal, and yes, I felt home! a wonderful poet you are my sweet friend! :)
Well done!
