HarlequinA Poem by Eric PudalovA "horror poem" about clowns, inspired by Frieda P's fear of clowns! BWAHAHAHAHA!The
white-faced harlequin Hides
within your every fear, Vaporously
stalking you From
darkened windows With
vacuous eye sockets…
Its
Glasgow smile slashed Across
a misshapen, grisly face Follows
you into Your
nightmare maze, Summoning
black widow spiders, Wraiths
and cobra lilies To
ensnare forsaken souls.
It
ravages your private thoughts, Speaking
spectral language, Then
takes the shape of An Atractasp snake, From
which escape is futile.
As you
run on rayless paths, It
follows Pursues
And
envenomates Your
being, Leaving
your livid body
Cold. © 2014 Eric PudalovAuthor's Note
