A QUIET HAND

A QUIET HAND

A Poem by E.P. Robles

(the day unfolded like a quiet hand)
and you (soft as breath)
walked beside me through sky's
open eye
where light tumbled (slow
& honey-thick) between
trees humming hush hush hush

the world was
(a pause)
a ripple of blue spilling
into the hush of water
where we (like stones unthrown)
leaned into the stillness

time (such a small thing, yes?)
barely whispered as we slipped
between its fingers, unwatched"

and later (when moon became
a sigh inside the river’s hands)
we stayed quiet enough
for the stars to listen

Sounds like a magical day spent with someone you adore. The world falling away as its two people getting lost in nature and the beauty of being together
