LOVE LACED VESSEL

LOVE LACED VESSEL

A Poem by E.P. Robles

A Love Laced Vessel small and fleet
To hold the tides of hearts complete
Its seams are stitched with tender thread
Of whispers soft, and words unsaid.

No mariner could chart its course,
Nor calculate its secret force
It moves by breath by sigh by glance
A fragile Ark of happenstance.

It bears the weight of unseen seas
Of passion's calm of stormy pleas
Yet in its hollow chamber's dome,
It carries all the world a home.

Beware the Vessel sweet, yet sly
It lifts you high it bids you fly
And yet, its lace, so light, so fair,
Can bind the freest soul to care.
