A BLACK CAT CAUGHT IN A HIGH TREE

A BLACK CAT CAUGHT IN A HIGH TREE

A Poem by E.P. Robles
"

figure it out :)

"
success is a black cat
caught in a high branch
(sweetest by those who
never win) --the nectar
of almost, of aching--
not one (of purple flags
and marching hosts)
can hold the whisper"
what victory means.
except"he dying,
his ears"
shut, bursting
with faraway trumpets:
triumph,
triumph
(clear as agony).
