A COMMONPLACE WITH FEELINGS

A COMMONPLACE WITH FEELINGS

A Poem by E.P. Robles

Love, what a commonplace with feelings,
As a forest with green and lushness,
As a desert forgiving your tenderness"
We should remember how precious life is.
And roll along the role time has given,
And sing along with those you love.
For hearts, though fragile, bear the weight,
Of seasons’ turning, joy and fate.
Like rivers carve through stone and sand,
Love shapes the soul with gentle hands.
Oh, let us honor what we hold,
The warmth of kin, the tales retold.
In fleeting moments, time will teach,
That love’s true depth lies out of reach.
Each fleeting hour, a sacred song,
Each quiet shadow moves us along.
The stars above, they softly gleam,
A witness to our fragile dreams.
Though pain may mark the path we tread,
And sorrow linger where hope once led,
The beauty born of ache and strife,
Is but the song of pulsing life.
So cherish whispers, fleeting sighs,
The breath of dawn, the open skies.
For love, though commonplace it seems,
Is woven deep in all we dream.
And when the final twilight calls,
When shadows stretch along the walls,
Love’s echo lingers, pure and clear,
A hymn to all we held most dear.

Author's Note

E.P. Robles
As a poet, I strive humility to elevate the shared human experience rather than claim intellectual superiority.

To weave the intimate and the universal into a hymn of life, love, and the human journey. The most profound truths are often the simplest, hidden in plain sight within the commonplace.
