A PRETTY FAITHFUL

A PRETTY FAITHFUL

A Poem by E.P. Robles

I found my pretty faithful while
touching the world's grief
upon disenchanted colors of love
so the Soul could rest
I dreamed of heavy water beating
down my tongue dreaming of your
pretty face with tears drifting
from your mouth into the deep

So pretty while you're faithful
So pretty I felt my hands
trembling while fleeing from
a hideous green forest's black
memory -- the world's grief

Village sleeping beneath a
wild light, northern lights
a thunder's roar a laugh
and kisses of beautiful nudity
the Soul against a last tide

and so much better seeing grief
as a charity and your smile
the deepest cry from a graveyard
of your infinity.
