HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?

A Poem by E.P. Robles
"

I can give a very precise understanding of my words. Many have told me not too - they want to find their personal understanding so I comply. My lovers.

"
But in the breath you draw, the grain of sand!
How long does it take to savor the dawn's first gleam,
To plant a seed of kindness, a whispered dream?
For endings, like beginnings, are woven in time's loom,
Each moment a tapestry, woven in life's bloom.
So, ponder not the final chime, but the melodies made,
And fill each space with light, before the curtain's shade.
How long does it take before the end, asks the ephemeral bloom,
A blink in the eons, a cosmic heartbeat's boom.
Mountains erode in the river's embrace, stars dim and fall,
Yet the Earth spins on, a cradle for rise and for thrall.
How long does it take before the hourglass spills,
A whisper before silence, a shadow that chills?
We measure our moments in moonlit sighs,
While eternity waits with unblinking eyes.
Empires crumble, whispers of dust in the wind,
How long does it take before dynasties end?
Cities rise, monuments etched in fleeting pride,
Yet empires like embers, in memory subside.
But in the breath you draw, the grain of sand.

Make the most of life; treasure each moment for we can't really measure our time... nor the times of the time of civilizations to rise and fall....the time it takes to for the sun to set or the moon to rise....life is different for each person and you have captured so many moments in the beginning and end of life...
Interesting piece, I enjoyed reading it.
Warmly, B
