Forgive me this evening
as I cannot write the mournful lines
of my life___
To express, for example,
'How the world ate my heart while i slept leaving my soul.'
Phantoms are within the deep skies and day or night revolves a poet speaking
in those skies and serenades.
So tonight is a day without light
and i write and sing saddest prose:
"I loved and sometimes love did me."
Imagination. Dreams. As days or nights
through them I held love within my arms
and kissed.
Again and Again under endless skies.
Once for times she loved me. And I too for her.
then one moment gone.
For reason.
That I do not know.

Of course I will answer this box, "Not for Reviewers"
From a poetic perspective, this piece expresses the universal themes of love, loss, and the resultant sorrow.
There's a profound sense of melancholy, a yearning for what once was, which is evident in lines like "I loved and sometimes love did me" and "Once for times she loved me. And I too for her. then one moment gone."
These themes are consistent with the human condition, and their expression in poetry is celebrated by many poets which appreciate literature that explores the depths of human experience.
The usage of metaphors like 'the world ate my heart' and 'tonight is a day without light' to represent suffering and despair, or 'phantoms within the deep skies' symbolizing elusive and haunting memories, contribute to a vivid picture of narration of emotional state.
From a Jungian psychology perspective, this poem represents an exploration of the Self, symbolized through imagery associated with dreams and the unconscious mind. Jung believed our dreams and imaginations held keys to our psyche.
The line "Imagination. Dreams. As days or nights through them I held love within my arms and kissed." can be seen as an introspection of the subconscious mind, reflecting inner conflicts, desires, and experiences of love and loss.
The 'reason' mentioned towards the end can be interpreted as an allusion to Jung's concept of individuation, the process of becoming aware of oneself, recognizing our past, and reconciling with it. The unknown reason for the departure of love signifies the part of the unconscious yet to be integrated into the conscious mind.
Overall, I believe myt poem beautifully explores the realm of personal suffering and introspection, tracing a poignant journey from love to loss, both thematically compelling in the sphere of poets and rich with Jungian psychoanalytical symbolism.
