Don't Leave Yet (new order)

Don't Leave Yet (new order)

A Poem by Miss Robinson

Somewhere on a plane waiting for me,

A skewed sense of ideals is all that’ll be

However long it takes I will know

Your scent, your eyes, your face, let them all go

Together we reside here,

Same place same time, without your invite

Wait, stay and hear my stale plea

Let you go

With no Bowie you have

Only twenty-two thoughts with your dead hands,

Don’t forsake your other plans

Forget the past

I got all the memos

On the board when I looked

Counting the spaces and steps you backed,

Taken with your burden

To whom I cannot own?

I came on too strong

I came on too strong

Whatever

I came on too strong

Let me linger

Torn away with my burden

To whom I cannot own?

Whatever you say I won’t

“Why can’t you live a lie forever?”

Oh you couldn’t live a lie forever

Don’t leave yet

Don’t leave yet

i like to write fiction. Stories more than poetry but I've taken a new fondness for it. And my poems aren't well done so don't seek to find something profound here. more..
