For Henry

For Henry

A Poem by Eponine Roy

If in my persuasion I was persuaded toward you

Straight away we'd be married out of religious sight

Oddly enough, though, we'll always just be friends

No matter how thoroughly our lives decide to bend

Strongly separated many miles from our company

I will still feel warm knowing I can find you simply

By calling you up for a shoulder and a tear

Come laugh with me, oh Henry my dear!

For we at least cannot be parted for five more years

I read this on the air not too long ago...in junction with my piece about you ("Again, For Eppy"). Hope you don't mind.
