The Miracles She Weaves

The Miracles She Weaves

A Poem by Ryan Luse

The Miracles She Weaves
                a ryan luse jam

Knowing her is like having déjà vu on a morning airplane

Going to the time zone where love and window-light collide

For once you see past the turbulent strangers and haunted clouds

The inner whisper makes you feel she’s been right there on this ride

Being with her is like going back into a dream you’ll have tomorrow

This time you’ll have some clues to change the hibernating heartache

You let the colors change because you know it leads to a masterpiece

The inner whisper tells you this whole time with her, you’ve been awake

My inner whisper says this time I’ll do it right

Deep in my soul says this time its ok to believe

All my inspiration says this time I’ll look forward

Because I’m a believer in the loving miracles you weave

Lying with her is like watching a new world being carefully created

All the compassionate wonders begin to dance like a sunrise being born

You hope you have the strength to show the world that love wins in the end

The inner whisper she brings will carry you across when your shoes are worn

Falling for her is like picking a random door that leads to your true destination

You would need a nation of microphones to convey all that song in your heart

Jeweled angel eyes and distant ocean winds guide the beginning fateful turns

The inner whisper she inspires builds the paths where the miracle of love can start

My inner whisper says this time I’ll do it right

Deep in my soul says this time its ok to believe

All my inspiration says this time I’ll look forward

Because I’m a believer in the loving miracles you weave

And what a brilliant and beautiful jam it is...
The images that you evoke with the words that you choose are spectacular and tangible. The unique metaphors you present really spoke to my heart, and I found myself loving your protagonist as well. The flow and movement of the piece sweeps the reader into its warmth. Thank you for the wonderful read.
