Piano Keys

Piano Keys

A Poem by Ryan Luse
"

inspired by a muse....

"

           Piano Keys

If life were a grand piano, would the keys stay black & white?

Cause I want those colors & chords to come bursting through tonight

Just a change of hand, you can hear tender highs and rumbling lows

Sit with me on this black bench of destiny as the symphony begins to grow

Lets my fingers glide, with music as our guide

On these Piano Keys

Sing in this mystery, in front of harmonious history

On these Piano Keys

If the soul were a grand piano, when would the tune begin to fade?

Come in with me on the bridge there is so much more to be played

The rhythm in our bodies seems to go with the pedals our minds rearrange

The piano of our life, the piano of our soul and the sweet strings of change

Lets my fingers glide, with music as our guide

On these Piano Keys

Sing in this mystery, in front of harmonious history

On these Piano Keys...

As an intense lover of music, I thank you for this poem. .. Let my fingers glide with music as our guide.. Beautiful. Music has the unique characteristic of being an amazing uniting force. Great job. :-)

metaphors... amazing
idea... amazing
technique... great

this is a really good poem, it reminds me of Pink Floyd's flow of music... it always sounds so simple... yet, its originally complex, unexpected, so untraditional.

keep it up!
