My Ferris Wheel

My Ferris Wheel

A Poem by Ryan Luse

My Ferris Wheel

                          a Ryan Luse jam

Verse 1:
You have lit my up eyes like a million kaleidoscopes on a carnival ride
I will take the ups and I'll take those lows just to be by your precious side
Feels like a rush like an Angel's breath over a flash of a thousand years
We can gaze in all directions and your presence will still move me to tears

Chorus:
One can only guess the distance this love will move
As the wheels of time are suspended in a groove
If this is an illusion why are the neon lights so surreal?
We may not have gone full circle but baby,
You are my Ferris Wheel

Verse 2:
Below us is a sky of curious crowds, above us are a street of unpaved stars
The lights bouncing off your soul is a wonder, this realm of rhythm is only ours
Hold on through life's dizzy circles, as we rock and unlock the keys to words unread
On this colossal colored fossil of freedom, the spectacular vortex is moments ahead...

Chorus:
One can only guess the distance this love will move
As the wheels of time are suspended in a groove
If this is an illusion why are the neon lights so surreal?
We may not have gone full circle but baby,
You are my Ferris Wheel

My Ferris Wheel...
