The Girl On The Edge of My Bed

The Girl On The Edge of My Bed

A Poem by Ryan Luse

The Girl On The Edge of My Bed

                      A Ryan Luse jam

As you crawl into my tattered window pane
You mash my dreams up like a fine cocaine
Whisper angel hymns in the blacklight glow
As you move closer, like a condemned soul

Oh she loves to get inside my head
The girl at the edge of my bed
Oh she likes to leave love unsaid
The girl at the edge of my bed.
Oh she likes my thoughts widespread
The girl at the edge of my bed…

The ceilings stars, creates shadows of desire
You turn my crooked smile, into blazing fire
You let life's wine pour out, until I feel strange
Moving through me, to tell me I can't change

Oh she loves to get inside my head
The girl at the edge of my bed
Oh she likes to leave love unsaid
The girl at the edge of my bed.
Oh she likes my thoughts widespread
The girl at the edge of my bed…
