Joyous Heartbreak

Joyous Heartbreak

A Poem by Ryan Luse

Joyous Heartbreak

Baby I'm broken, I'm a ticking clock of lonely lawlessness
And I feel as if these walls just aint telling us what's true
They creak at night, and barricade you in a sexy soft caress
Till the tick tock of my heart stops and has forgotten you

I'm Joyous, oh the heartbreak is so joyous
Let's, laugh, let's sing, make love and look above
Its Joyous oh the heartbreak is f*****g joyous
One more ride on her merry go around of love

Baby I'm smoking, drinking on the leaves of yesteryear
And I feel as if the trees are shading us from fate's rain
They grow at day, and whisper sweet songs of falling tears
Till the twilight settles in and only are footprints remain

I'm Joyous, oh the heartbreak is so joyous
Let's, laugh, let's sing, make love and look above
Its Joyous oh the heartbreak is f*****g joyous
One more ride on her merry go around of love
