The Zodiac Signs

The Zodiac Signs

A Chapter by Jeffrey

Two people sat in this chair across from me. The duo seemed like one person at the same time though. They were so close and when I would glance up their shapes seemed to merge into one before my eyes, and not only that they were both identical.

They both opened their mouths at once and spoke simultaneously, “So you said you like organization, cleaning, and achievements?”

“Y-Yes..” I said a little awkwardly.

“Perfect!” They exclaimed together. “Here, please follow me.”

They led me down a hallway towards a door at the end. Beyond it, I could faintly

hear screaming, crying, and rumbling. The two slowly opened the door and the screaming became right in front of my face. As I peared in, I saw chaos. There were a few guys chasing each other. This one guy was yelling at everyone to respect him. This one girl was crying in the corner. Another girl was leaning back in a lounge chair and reading a book. One guy had a bow and arrow and was shooting them across the room.

I stared in awe as this chaos was going down. The two walked through the door and I hesitated but eventually followed him in. They looked up at everyone and he seemed to open his mouth. They pushed their arms forward and it seemed like piercing wind had hit everyone in the room. They all immediately stopped and ran into a line. As I examined the line, I noticed that the first one seemed to be older, and taller than all the others. There were just two spots that had a slight fluctuations.

“These are our members!” The two exclaimed. “Aesil, Terila, Gerril, which is me, Calypso, Lislando, Lirales, Sacrio, Saires, Caripam, Aqui, and Picella!”

“We all have symbols that mark what zodiac sign we represent. We all have them in different spots. You’ll meet us and all that stuff in more detail later, though.”

“Nice to meet you all..” I said quietly.

The guy that I thought was named Lislando approached me. He had wild red hair and a little symbol on his right upper chest that looked like a lasso.

“Hello, princess. You’re looking beautiful but not as pretty as me.”

I looked at him in disgust and then he smiled at me and an aura surrounded him. His face shape and hair seemed attractive and amazing. The way he smiled at me gave him the best looking teeth and face fixture. His shirt exposing his upper chest and his lasso symbol. I finally shook my head, having no interest in him. He looked at me questionably and surprised.

“Well, Lislando here got to what I was going to explain to you in a second. We all have our special powers that can help us in certain situations. Lislando’s Leo power is his romantic aura.” Gerril spoke.

Lislando complained, “I can’t believe she broke through it, I guess you found the right virgo.”

“Oh yeah! You, Vareli. You are the Virgo symbol.” Gerril said.

“M-me?” I shyly asked.

“Yeah!” Gerril confirmed.

Lislando put his hand around my shoulder, and grinned at me. I lightly took his hand off my shoulder and l look back to Gerril.

“Now..”

Gerril put both pairs of his hands together, criss-crossing. Their hands started glowing as he focused. He pushed their hands towards me as I was surrounded by light. The light cleared as I looked down. With my slide on shoes, the top of my feet were displayed, and on my right foot was A ‘M’ with a loop on the end of it.

“Congrats.” Lislando said.

Many other joined in with celebrating. They all surrounded me and cheered. I felt loved; I came to the right place.

Gerril stood to the side and concentrated, opening their mouths, but this time I could hear a loud piercing sound in my ear. It didn’t exactly hurt but it gave me an anxious feeling that I needed to line up, but Lislando grabbed my hand and took me next to him. On my other side was the Libra sign. He had long hair that covered his face and long sleeves and pants that concealed any skin. His chin was the only thing revealed.

“Now, I have something to ask of you, Vareli. We need a new leader, as we lost our old Virgo. I want you to be our new leader, to help us with your organization and helpful nature.

“M-Me.. I’m not capable of leading a group..” I stuttered.

“I feel that you are perfect for the job. I’ll help you along the way. I know you’re the Virgo we’ve been looking for.” Gerril persuaded.

“I don’t know, I’m happy to be here, but-” I slowly said.

“But you will be the leader! Great!!” Lislando stated.

“I neve-” I tried to sa but I was drowned out as everyone started cheering and congratulating me.

I did feel great being here. Maybe it’s worth a try.

“Well I’d like to show you your room, Vareli.” Gerril said.

He headed down a side door down a long hallway that had 12 different doors along it, spaced about evenly. I was led to the 6th door down and was led in to see a lilac room with white accents. A queen sized bed, a closet, desk and a mirror.

“This was our last Virgo’s room. You can change it to how you want it.” Gerril said a little weirdly.

“What happened to Virgo?” I asked curiously.

“She.. I… “ Gerril stuttered and then just went silent.

He slowly went out and signalled to me that he needed a moment. He then left and shut the door. I started organizing the desk and set my backpack down. I took everything out and put it in certain places. I organized the closet and hung all my clothes up, and put my shoes away. After the room was done, I laid in the bed and there was certain feel to the room that just felt off. It also smelled new, like the room had recently been built. I decided it was nothing and went out the door. Before closing it, I took one last look in the room. There was a pink bow laying on the floor in one of the corners that I didn’t see before. It bothered me but I felt like touching it would bother something, so I swiftly closed the door.
