Reality

i was too drunk

too drunk in your eyes

but reality sober me up

you were gone

gone as the wind that barely blew 

partly, reality broke my heart

mostly, you broke it too

Your poem is eloquently written and the imagery is emotive with deep pain and sadness. Great direct first-person style. The last verse speaks in the true voice of a broken heart. Excellent write.
