Point of ViewA Story by JOYHe looked out the window. The sky was dark, the clouds blocking out the sun. He looked back at his hands. They were shaking, only slightly, with nervousness and anticipation. It was his first day at his new school. His new life. He couldn't wait. A smile spread wide on his face, a silent, wavy sigh escaping his lips. This was it, this was his second chance, nothing could mess this up. As the bus came to a stop, he picked up his bag. He and his fellow students fled the vesicle, entering the crisp spring air. He took in a large breath, letting the fresh morning air fill his lungs before he entered the school.
All blood was drained from his face. School was nearly over, nothing went wrong. Oh, but what could have possibly gone wrong? It was perfect. But right there, between many strangers, were a familiar face, a face he'd rather never seen again. His breath was stuck in his throat as he scrambled behind the nearest wall. How? How can he be here? It's impossible! He had done so much to escape, he even moved to another town! His hands reached up and tangling themselves in his hair, pulling at the brown mess. This... This couldn't happen! He stumbled trough the halls. The exit felt as if it was so far away. He tripped, his body slamming sideways into one of the lockers. His breath were ragged and his eyes wide. A few tears fell down his cheeks. His hand covered his face as he doubled over slightly. A breathy laugh made it's way over his lips. He could fix this, he could make everything better. Just like last time. © 2016 JOYAuthor's Note
