War on terror, who’s the victim

Can’t see through the contradiction

 

Media circus it’s all shocking

Mothers on the beach a rocking

Children playing, bombs a raining

Take a picture, in the papers

Glossy colours in our faces

 

Wonderful world decision taking

History is in the making

Fathers dying are we trying

Soldiers marching, heads are aching

Can’t you see my predicament?

 

This world of strangers

Waging war through the ages

Let’s make peace and stop the rages

Dance and sing and make it end

Make me try to comprehend

 

Dance little children dance,

Smile and sing your happy song

Hopefully it won’t be long

Before we all get along

It is hard to see the world as a nice place to live sometimes with all the terror going on....then you see the innocence of children, unaware of what a scary world they are growing up in. I too wish we could all get along peacefully like young children do, before they are corrupted by society they don't care what color or religion another is, it means nothing...they still play and have fun together. Great piece, filled with big emotion. I just may suggest adding some puncuation in places to make it flow better, but still a good read.
