Inner City AngelA Poem by enufYhis peom is dedicated to all thse people ho find it hard to get of drugs
Inner City Angel You’re my inner city angel Ties me up its painful Calls the shots, does the lot Don’t know where you came from My inner city angel Went to school, broke the rules Couldn’t see what I’d came for Joined the lads, had a laugh Contradictions in my brain now Easy led, jumping up the step Told me it’ll be gainful My inner city angel Go to work, out of luck Don’t think it’s what I’m made for Joined the fun, on the run Looks like I am shameful Tried my luck with the mucky stuff Couldn’t see through the rainfall My inner city angel Getting high, I’m alive Could not see the dangers In the street, on my feet Running around with strangers Money low, I’m almost broke What’s it all in aid of My inner city angel You’re my inner city angel Ties me up its painful Calls the shots, does the lot Don’t know where you came from My inner city angel © 2009 enuf |
