Granma

Granma

A Poem by enuf
"

For a special lady

"

GRANMA

You were more than a granma to me

When you tickled me as I sat on your knee

Smiling sweetly you would be,

I would scream out with glee

I remember when I was small

I fell of the garden Wall

You cuddled me and wiped my tears

Told me I had nothing to fear

One day at school I broke the rules,

You sat me down and  did not scold

You told me where I’d gone wrong,

Taught me how to be strong

when I brought home my first boyfriend,

you didn’t like  him you did not pretend

I was glad you were right,

let him go without a fight

Then I had a little boy you were so full of joy

You put me right and never got annoyed

God took you from us in the end,

but I know the angels Have a friend

I’ll miss you Gran and all your might

All i can say is goodnight
