Trading Places

A Poem by enuf
"

ll let you make your own mind up

"

From Her to him

If we were to change places for just a single day

I would be a bit pushy; you wouldn’t have your say

I’d make sure I over powered you every step of the way

And if it was a Friday night I’d go out on my own to play

When I came home from work I’d leave my cloths upon the floor

Expect that you would pick them up and sort me out some more

I’d sit down on the sofa wait for you to bring my food

After I had eaten it, I’d say it wasn’t very good

I’d stack the dirty dishes by the sink for you to wash

And when you objected I’d tell you it was your job

In the evening I would sit down and be grumpy all night long

Then you might understand why its hard to get it on

From him to her

If we were to change places for just a single day

I’d lie in bed all morning never see the break of day

Make sure I didn’t listen to a single word you say

And at the end of every month I’d expect to spend your pay

On Monday Tuesday or Sunday night to bingo I would go

When I had a little win you’d be the last to know

My wardrobe would be stacked out with cloths I do  not wear

In the course of every month I’d spend a fortune on my hair

When the kids asked for things they have not got

I’d send them all to you so you could sort out the lot

I’d sit down watch the telly and moan at what you watch

Then dread going to bed in case you were getting hot

amusing and very comical. Aspect definitely says it all about how the world works and this poem manages to portray it both humorously and engagingly. When I say it in my head it has the feel of a mother goose rhyme to it or something you would sing when jumping rope.

one mistype I found on the 7th line in the second half: "My wardrobe would be stacked out with cloths I do not wear" cloths instead of clothes. Unless you meant the word cloths in which case don't mind me! Thanks for the read.
