Insubstantial but all important

Insubstantial but all important

A Poem by Entrelesnuages

a hint of memory
a wisp of a dream
a simple of suggestion
of what might have been

a glimmer of hope
a single floating feather
sitting softly on the surface
of things yet to be weathered

A dandelion carrying
through the wind
an unspoken wish
fraying but unthinned

the unsung song
of a story never told
older than memory
to precious to be sold

A gentle old soul
under an autumnal tree
watching her memories
fly away in the breeze

soft as a baby's breath
light as a gossamer thread
insubstantial as the wind
our most precious secrets forever unsaid

while we don't have the courage
to utter them aloud
they float to from minds
up to the clouds
