Will I go home?

Will I go home?

A Poem by Charlene

Running always never stopping
Always fearing night
But loving moonlight stars
Trees reaching to the sky
Icy rain falling through my skin
Will I be home again?
Or am I already home?

I know you'll never come
The lake shines like silver
Your heart of stone hits me in the chest
A heart of glass shatters
No. I will not be "home" again
For I do not have a "home"

White rivers speed by
Running beside them all the time
The energy from the earth takes me
As my shattered heart of glass turns to gold.
I will not return to my once called "home"
For there is no such thing as "home."
