Inspiration

we may be broke

or richer than Croesus

we may be struck by disease

or in vibrant health

we may be young

or shrunken by age

we may be attractive

or repelling to the eye

we may be white

or a person of color

we may practice religion

or we may not

when we close our eyes

each one of us sees the same infinite potential

of thought

of creativity

of love

 

the playing field

is level

 

this knowledge is my inspiration
