Drain Plug

Drain Plug

A Poem by Megan Marie

Agape my heart was

now the time has come to sew it shut

flush all the memories and moments

ever created with you

as once again I was foolish to let

someone like you enter.

Always filling in the temporary gaps

it's kind of like pulling a a drain plug

in the sink,

and watching everything wash away

only it's you walking away

because once again

better has come along

and all that has been washed away

is forever forgotten

because nobody remembers the drain plug

It's a kind of "I'm gonna get that man right outta my hair" kind of write! Clever contrived and neatly written...
