IMPERFECT LOVE!

My baby i dont wanna argue or fight,
I just want to work this out tonight.
My darling i never want to make you feel,
Like my love for you isnt real.

My love things have been so hard to bare,
I reach out for your love and tender care.
I yearn for you and i hope and prey,
That you won't be scared and push me away.

Sweetheart i just want to feel im enough,
I just want you to hold me when times are tough.
Hunny i dont want you to hurt me out of such rage,
I have already been through and turned that page.

I want my poetry and singing to set your soul on fire,
I want you to want all of me with a burning desire.
My sweet love i want our story to be a success,
Right now everythings such a mess.

I want our puzzel to fit together well,
I want us to rise, from that we once fell.
I love u with every fiber in my soul and heart,
Im preying we don't fall to far apart.
Because your my inperfectly beautiful work of art.

Things aren't going to plan here. The he is clearly not quite living up to expectation. The faults have set in and they are being noticed., yet there is a desire to put things right. A poem of hope, but I'm not sure that is going to be enough. Conveyed with feeling cimmy.

So hope springs eternal and love tries to conquer all. I suspect that 'prey' was a typo for 'pray' and 'hunny' for 'honey' - but maybe there is a hidden message in the spelling. The words are written with feeling and longing, with the poet's romantic soul longing for what might be. Women have a tendency to think they can fix us - to make their imperfect partners their 'work of art'. It seldom happens.
