MY BEST FRIEND!!!

A poem about my Best friend :)

We have a friendship that has lasted so long,
Without you in my life, it would just be wrong.
We have so much memorys and tons of history,
We know everything about eachother, nothing is a mystery.

I love the way you make me laugh all the time,
You are my partner in life and in crime.
We hardly ever fight, and when we do they are not that bad,
the things you say when im upset or mad at you make me sad.

Little tiffs between us make you question our friendship, thats not right,
If our friendship means as much to you as it does to me, you should fight.
You can also be a little selfish, and somtimes I feel you dont understand,
Seems like you have it easy most of the time, for some of us life isn't so grand.

We usually always have a blast when we are together,
I just wish you could be there for me through the stormy weather.
I feel like we are meant to be in eachothers lives, I feel its fate,
Our friendship has lasted over 10 years now, and there is no expiry date.

Some of the stuff we do when we are together is crazy, we are uncontained,
We are more then best friends, our bond can't be explained.
We love being together, and we see eachother at least once a week,
its not our fault, we get bored at home alone, and its company we seek.

We have so much in common its unbelievably insane,
sometimes its like we share the same brain.
We are both so calm and collected when we engage in conversation,
While alot of people around us so easy rage out in frustration.

So Tony just remember as the time goes on and the years pass on by,
Ill always be around to annoy you, you can't escape me, don't even try.
We will be in eachothers lives until our time on this earth comes to an end,
You are and forever will be... my funny, annoying, lovable, Best friend.

That's so sweet! My best friend and I hit 10 years as well this year, it's a crazy feeling. It feels like no matter what, they have your back when you need them the most. I'm sure he really appreciated this piece! Well done :)

Unfortunetly he is not really the first person I turn to when I need someone to talk to.
He has his faults, I guess he isn't great at the mature understanding side of things.
Though I do love him, we have a ton of fun together. Thank you for the review again Amber.

Nicely balanced look at friendship . . . both the good & the not-so-good, but definitely weighing in on mostly the good side of things. Not only are you showing your friend how you feel in this poem, but you are also showing many young people what true friendship looks like & feels like, with ups & downs, honesty, even if it's not always comfortable, etc. I get so sick of reading poems about pie-in-the-sky love & friendship . . . either that or pure tragedy. But it's so refreshing to see the balance here in your depiction of how things go between longtime friends. As you probably know, I'm a big fan of straightforward writing, which this is very much . . . no guessing, just show me, & you've done it.

Im an extremely straight farward person so im not suprised it comes out in my writing.
Yes well it is always good to show that there is a balance.
No friendship is perfect there are things u dont like about eachother, you go through tough times. Though there is plenty of good times as well.
