ONE WITH THE RAIN!

The rain starts off slow as it silently weaps,
Then as the night goes on a little rain turns into heaps.
Just like the rain my emotions are out of control,
And those many tears stream down my face instead of roll.

Noone fully understands the rain, it is misunderstood,
Even the weather man can't predict the rain noone ever could.
Just like the rain emmotional people can be hard to understand,
People say we are weak, or its attention that we demand.

We dont choose to feel this way, and usually depression takes a part,
But mainly we emotional souls just have such a big heart.
We feel things more intensely then others because we care so much,
When we see things that are heartbreaking or sad, its our souls that are touched.

Somtimes we understand and are sympathetic to things other people dont get,
We are definitely hard to deal with, but we can be one of the best people uv ever met.

So when talking to us watch what you say, be considerate and kind,
Because we can't just stop and leave our emotions behind.
You have no idea how much of a burden they can be,
If only you where us, u would know, you would see.

Just like the rain misunderstood and out of control,
This is what it feels like to be an emotional soul.

well said.. iv enjoyed it very much and i like ur choice of words, and i agree, i mean we are only humans, we have hearts that feel we're not machines we do get hurt easily and just like the rain we can fall when hurt and tear like the rain.

I enjoyed this immensely. The comparison is spot on. People often misunderstand and even look negatively on those that are expressive of their emotions - just like they tend to associate negative thoughts with rain. I have never understood this as I think rainy days are absolutely beautiful, and I even prefer them most of the time - just as I prefer to be around people that can honestly express how they feel in any given situation. Thanks for the great read, and keep up the good work!

Oh my God, this is exactly what I always think! Being an overly emotional person, I totally understand what the person in this poem feels. I love how you compared such people with rain- sometimes it makes me happy, but then somtimes it makes me sad too. This was a wonderful read. Good job! :)

It is hard having depression and being so emotional ontop of it, sometimes I think I maybe should go on some kind of tablets they may help, but I don't know.

While tablets may work, you would just be forcing yourself to ignore your thoughts and you might just end up being a cyborg, if you know what I mean. Trust me, I've been there- it's a hard journey but at the end, you'll definitely see the best. :)
