WRITE YOUR STORY ON MY HEART!

I got inspired by a song again.

Everyone has many emotions, we all have so much to say, 

So pick up your pen, use my heart as your paper, and take it away.

Write your story on my heart, make a mark, make me feel, 

Tell me everything, good or bad, just let it be real. 

Theirs still so much empty space in my heart, 

So many blank pages for all of you to fill. 

So jolt down your most priceless art, 

With your words, leave me speechless, if you will. 

I love hearing all your story's, in me you can confide, 

Tell me all your secrets, with me you don't need to hide.

I love being there to listen, and maybe offer some advice, 

With me there's no catch at all, I'm just being nice. 

No matter where you are, I'm calling every nation, 

The things you write, could be my inspiration. 

Once your in my life, you will discover, 

I really am unique and like no other. 

Share your story with me, so I can share mine with you, 

One can never have to many friends, after all, isn't that true?

Write your story on my heart, make an impact on my heart and soul, 

Maybe when we all come together as one, we can be whole!

Ah, how nostalgic I feel. I used to wear my heart on my sleeve and share my story with those I deemed trustworthy and they too. With age, it becomes more difficult to find and keep friends like that who will be so vulnerable and open. True friends are hard to come by these days!

[Not Your Typical New Yo..]

This is one of the most touching poems I've ever read. Everyone is a storyteller, and some, if not all, stories should be told, should be written and read. I've been suffering with depression, but slowly coming out of it on my own, and yet I do accept myself, even if sometimes I don't. After all, we're all unique in someway. Thank you for writing this :)

"Write your story on my heart..." is one of the most blindingly sentimental wished I've ever read in a poem. Because once something is in (or on) your heart, it is there forever. Different feelings could eventually bump it aside, but will not remove that mark, that imprint. This piece is filled with hope, and it makes me realize that not every write has to be a dramatic dark epiphany or a "This is why my life sucks..." plea for pity. If the day ever comes where hope is an undesirable emotion a lot of poets and writers everywhere will shut off the keyboard, power down the computer and call it a day. Very nice write, cimmy, keep your hopes as your foundation. take care...dan
