MEMORY OF YOU!

A poem i wrote that just came to me, After reading and reviewing someone's poems about this subject, they inspired me :)

I still remember it clear as day,

The letter that stopped my heart.

A letter telling me you'd passed away,

The letter that tore me Apart.

Broken promise's you made,

Telling me you'd return.

I wish you listened to me and stayed,

instead its your ashes i watched burn. 

I had no one i only had you, 

Now you have gone and died on me to....

We talked about a future, 

We were soon to be Wed

We were going to have a baby,

Who we would call Ned. 

Every night i wake up in a sweat,

having bad dreams i wish i could forget.

I turn beside me looking for comfort,

as i shake and scream. 

I soon relise your not here 

that this isn't a dream.

The day of your funeral i couldn't bring myself to show,

As i sat at that place the place we called ours.

I looked over the edge of that cliff knowing i wanted to go.

There was nothing here for me anymore, 

I still wondered why you had to go to war.

It wasn't fair i was angry yet sad,

i wasn't scared of death in fact i was glad. 

There was nothing left for me here,

My life on earth was through.

I closed my eyes jumped off the edge,

Falling into a deep sea of blue.

Soon i would be there in heaven with you.

You know the meaning of true love very well .. this's yer best poem ever ...

This phrase's awesome and awesomely penned into the words with yer feeling of love.. about someone.. True love never goes to die but lives forever into the bottom of the heart of love .. with peace and joy. The sadness brings some pain and tears but the happiness keeps ya or takes ya away from the world of pain and bribery to the world of love and peace where only the true lovers can exist ... Cool ...

It's an awesome job by ya .. am thrilled by yer cool confidence of love .. your feelings about love's so pure and peaceful. Your the true lover that spread only love .. don't give pain but live always into the heart of someone ... Keep on. Your cool.

This is a really sad tale, full of emotion and heartache. As it is about the death of a loved one, it reminds me of my father. I think though, it is even sadder still, that the narrator's love was lost in war. A terrible thing that.

Still, this was pretty even in its sadness.

Although my first thought, upon reading about the narrator's suicide, was; I hope you aren't Catholic.

I would respectfully suggest you read this over and give it an edit, with special attention given to your "I"s. When alone they should be capitalized. I would also like to point out that in stanza five, you misspelled the word "realize".

Overall this was a pretty good poem.
