QUEEN OF HEARTS!

A random story/poem i thought of.....

Somewhere deep in such a far away place,

There once lived a queen with elegance and grace.

A palace huge with trees evergreen,

Somewhere hidden, beautiful and unseen.

The people so happy for the queen ruled them right,

For she treated them as equals with a heart of delight.

The queen then grew old, but died with love and respect,

As she gave away the kingdom she'd never neglect.

The kingdom now has a new queen of hearts,

An evil witch that secretly practices the black arts.

The palace now dark trees burnt to the ground,

Servants starved there bodies never to be found.

A queen without a heart no love left in this land,

The queen ruling, with everyone under her command.

A place hidden by darkness, a place unknown,

People being starved, left homeless and broke.

An evil queen never willing to give up her throne,

Until suddenly now old and bitter, she has a stroke.

The kingdom now left in destruction and mess,

Until along comes a princess in a torn white dress.

With tears in her eyes she looks down at the kingdom so dark and dead,

Smiling at the life the first queen/her grandmother had lead.

The people now look up and they see it in her face,

Her grandmother was the queen of elegance and grace.

The princess worked and worked until the palace looked Anew,

The new queen she would be this the people knew.

A palace once again ruled with elegance and grace,

This land once again is a beautiful place.

A queen full of love with a heart of gold,

Long lives the Queen till she be grey and old.

A classic story of how governments come and go...but told with an exotic twist. I love it.
Only one tiny flaw...

"thrown" ought to be "throne"...

Otherwise, it is fine just as it is.

Great story you told here, you're a very good storyteller. Have you ever thought about writing stories?
Anyways I enjoyed the poem, it flows very well and you can totally picture everything you say.

The reason i don't write stories is only because stories are not novels and i find it almost impossible to keep them short lol.
Im working on a novel on here but havnt worked on it for months now having a break from it can t be bothered with it latly.
I don't think its that great either because its not getting any reviews, i think people cant be bothered reading big novels most the time.
